My 10 year old loves Kazoo. She wanted a magazine, but was disappointed in others we tried because they were focused on boys or fashion. Kazoo has content she enjoys and the issues last her quite a while. She loves the puzzles, articles, and activities. Ad-free is a huge bonus!
This is such a smart and cool magazine. Fantastic art, really fun activities, great fiction. There are things my 6-year-old and I can do together, and things she can take to her room and do on her own. My favorite thing about it is how much representation there is of smart, clever, powerful, talented women, without it ever feeling too "girl-power", It presents a world where girls can do all these things, not as an anomaly, but as a matter of fact. Age appropriate for the target audience, but so well written I read through every issue myself.
